The Cassini spacecraft was launched in October 1997 and will orbit Saturn beginning in late 2004. As pictured here it will also drop an atmospheric probe onto the moon Titan. UCLA is providing assistance with the magnetic field investigation in the areas of calibration, mission planning data processing, and scientific analysis. |
