NEAR Magnetometer Investigation

The NEAR mission is one of the first Discovery series missions launched in February 1996 to orbit the asteroid Eros. It carried a set of remote sensing and in situ instruments including a magnetometer. C. T. Russell is a member of the magnetometer team.
